Automatic Stockpile Measurement System

We have developed a solution for monitoring stockpile volumes using a combination of laser scanners and crane position information. A portal crane operator may sweep over a part of the storage area to quickly calculate the amount of material deposited.

Current installations include systems as large as 1500x80x30 meters, limited only by crane size. Depending on your needs, the system collects data from a number of laser scanners covering the whole width of the area.

The operator interface provides direct feedback on operational status and results, which can be easily fed into an ERP system for further processing. For logistics optimization, we can provide volumes cell-based per square meter, reflecting crane operation at a high abstraction level.

The system is operated by DK Vermessung ZT GmbH, a surveying company specialized on industrial measurement solutions.
